What, pray tell, could Installous possibly do to "help developers"? Which is defined as being what? It has to be an overarching definition.īegging the question of why you'd go through Installous in the first place…Įnlighten us. I haven't used the Synology but have heard good things and the software is great. There is also the synology which has slightly better software such as airprint and airplay. The QNAP has never crashed and also been able to find windows viruses on the machine from downloads (that goodness it is based on linux). I am currently using a QNAP TS212 using an ARM chip and it works fine.

What in your opinion is a reliable NAS drive for Mac (my router is a Belkin F7D4301 Play Max). I like the idea of a NAS drive to store Movies and send all around the house. I will definitely check out the other recommendations. VLC Streamer seems like a great way to go in order to bypass the iPhone and not Jailbreak at all. It currently supports the TV Out cable so I could hook up my iPhone to my TV. I've been playing around with it and so far it has been great! I can now stream from my iMac to my iPhone 4S and it encodes on the fly. Thanks for that great info!
